Cape Odyssey debuts PISCES this July — a purpose-built catamaran offering exclusive shared voyages and private charters across Phang Nga Bay and the Andaman Sea, carried by the restraint and service of a thirty-year hospitality pedigree.

PISCES, the newest luxury catamaran from Cape Odyssey, makes its debut in Phuket this July, opening a quieter and more considered way to experience the Andaman Sea and Phang Nga Bay. Purpose-designed and built from the keel up at a cost of USD 2 million — the most significant investment in its product class — PISCES brings together craftsmanship, space and genuine privacy: a vessel made for travellers who prefer to meet the sea on their own terms.

Behind PISCES is a team with more than three decades in luxury hospitality, drawn from the award-winning Cape & Kantary Hotels group. That heritage is the quiet difference. Where others offer a day on the water, PISCES offers the instinctive, anticipatory service of people for whom hospitality is simply second nature — an edge that is difficult to manufacture and impossible to fake. 

The Story Behind the Boat

Pai – Pongvarut Pangsrivongse, founder of Cape Odyssey, grew up with the Andaman at his doorstep. The connection to the water runs through the family: Cape Panwa Hotel, Phuket hosted the international Phuket Raceweek regatta for more than a decade, and Cape Odyssey’s sister companies include Cape Yacht Charter and John Gray’s Sea Canoe.

“I grew up on this water. My father (Tirapongse Pangsrivongse) had me sailing before I could properly swim, and he drummed two things into me — the nerve to go out past the shoreline, and the sense never to take the sea lightly. It is vast, and it changes its mind without warning. You learn to go on its terms, not yours.” 

The name carries the same personal weight. Pisces is Pai’s star sign — and that of his twin brother, Prow (Pongvarut Pangsrivongse) — its two fish circling toward one another. It is also the long-standing emblem of the family’s Cape Hotel Collection.

“Pisces is my sign and my twin brother Prow’s. Two fish swimming toward each other — balance, connection, and a little freedom on the water. It has also been the emblem of our family’s Cape Hotel Collection  for years. For what it’s worth, my name means bamboo and his means coconut, so two fish was probably the safer choice.”

The Vessel

At 26 metres long and 10.8 metres wide, PISCES is among the largest catamarans operating in Phuket — but its real distinction is in how it is built. The hull is high-grade fibreglass: strong, light and quiet through the water, where many competitors still run heavier, slower steel. The decks — the most generous in its class — are laid in solid teak worth several million baht. Everything is designed around three things: panoramic views, space, and an effortless ride.

At the heart of the vessel is a large, light-filled saloon wrapped in wide windows, with uninterrupted 360-degree views of island and sea from inside — fully air-conditioned and fitted with an integrated sound system and DJ booth. Above, a multi-deck flybridge opens onto sun-soaked teak, a floating ocean pool, sun beds and shaded lounging both indoors and out. Private ensuite cabins offer real seclusion for those who want it.

PISCES cruises comfortably at 15 knots, where comparable boats manage eight or nine — smoother passages, and more time at the places worth lingering over. Paddleboards are on hand, with a jet surfboard, sea scooter and other water toys available on request. 

Exclusive Shared Voyages

Where PISCES differs most is in restraint. Where others pack eighty or more guests onto a boat this size, PISCES deliberately caps numbers to 45 guests, so everyone has room to breathe. Seating is arranged in separate tables and private corners for small groups — never packed rows.

Each Exclusive Shared Voyage departs Ao Po at 11:00 (returning 19:00), with complimentary transfers from your Phuket hotel or the Phuket International Airport. The day unfolds across Phang Nga Bay under the care of a professional captain and crew, with an easy soundtrack from the onboard music curator who keeps the mood somewhere between beach groove and golden-hour calm — never a party for its own sake. The route takes in Naka Island, James Bond Island (Khao Tapu), Koh Phanak, Koh Hong, limestone cliffs, sea caves and hidden lagoons — rarely quite the same twice, and often rewarded by wildlife passing through — closing with the sun going down over the Andaman.

Premium Private Charter

For up to 70 guests, PISCES is available for fully bespoke private charter. Guests can be collected from their own beach, hotel or nearest pier, and every itinerary is personalised — from a gentle day of views and cruising to full island adventure. Destinations include Phi Phi, Khai, Koh Hong and Racha. It is a setting equally suited to private celebrations, weddings at sea, intimate gatherings and considered corporate hosting.

On Board: Dining & Drinks

Dining on board spans Mediterranean, Thai and contemporary European, alongside freshly prepared signature sushi hand rolls (limited availability). Premium selections, such as a fresh seafood tower, are available to pre-order.

The bar is a programme in its own right: a complimentary cocktail selection curated by a beverage specialist to match both the dining and the easy rhythm of a day at sea, including a refreshing selection of beverages — rosé and sparkling — and cocktails made for cruising.
